The dulcimer means a lot to my family. My younger brother, Nathaniel, is an avid dulcimer player. If you’d like to hear Nathaniel playing his dulcimer, please visit: http://www.nathanielsamsel.blogspot.com/. Dad also plays the dulcimer, and Nathaniel is teaching my 5-year-old brother, Asher, how to play. I know the basics of the dulcimer but haven’t really sought to grow it. The mountain dulcimer is one of the easiest instruments to learn, but takes diligence to master. The mountain dulcimer is one of the few truly American instruments. It is believed to be born somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains. The word “dulcimer” means sweet melody, which is fitting.

This picture is made of: forget-me-not, tendrils, hydrangea, money plant, heuchera, and aucuba.

Sarah’s pictures are professionally sealed with a layer of UV glass and a vacuum sealing process.
